The Memorial -- Jatiyo Smriti Soudho
National Martyrs' Memorial a great monument of Bangaldesh also call Jatiyo Sriti Soudho, is situated in savar.Jatiyo Sriti Soudho is the sign of heroism and the immolate of those slaughtered in the Liberation War of 1971, which brought the independence of Bangladesh from Pakistan.
National Martyrs' Memorial is 150 feet high. It has 7 isosceles triangular pyramid shaped structures, with the middle one being the taller than others. Several mass graves situated in front of monument. There are many gardens, an artificial lake, trees ponds many walkways. Natural beauty of this place is very attractive.

Most Beautiful places -Shaheed Minar
The Central Shaheed Minar is a national monument in Bangladesh, situated near Dhaka medical college Hospital. It was established to commemorate those who sacrificed their lives for Mother Language. Shaheed Miner is one of the most important monuments of the Dhaka city. On February 21, 1952 The Pakistani police force opened fire on Bengali protesters who were wanted equal status to their native tongue, Bangla. The murder occurred near Romna Park and Dhaka Medical College in Dhaka.
In 1947, Pakistan was formed with two regions, East Pakistan (also called East Bengal) and West Pakistan. The native tongue of West Pakistan is Urdu and Bangla is native tongue of East Pakistan. The Government of Pakistan ordained Urdu as the sole national language, the Bengali-speaking majority of East Pakistan protested it. As a result Pakistani Government killed many of Bengali protesters who were demanding identical status to their native language, Bangla.
A prominent Bangladeshi sculptor Mr. Hamidur Rahman made a designed of Shaheed Minar.
In 2000, UNESCO declared 21 February International Mother Language Day. In 2000 now the whole world celebrates 21st February as international mother language day.
