The Munshiganj Mosque is one of the ancient mosques of Bangladesh. This mosque is also known as Baba Adam’s Mosque. Baba Adam’s Mosque bears the mature form of the sultanate mosque style of Bangladesh. This mosque shows all the decorative and architectural characteristics of the sultanate architecture of Bengal. It is situated in the village of Kazi Qasba under Rikabibazar Union in Rampal Thana of Munshiganj district. It is a six-domed mosque. The rectangular measures internally 10.35m x 6.75m and externally 14.30m x 11.45m; the thickness of the wall is about 2m. This mosque is divided into two aisles and three bays. Baba Adam's Mosque is roofed over by six uniform hemispherical domes. The mosque is built, but the freestanding pillars and engaged pilasters are made of stone. All the entrances and mihrabs are recessed within rectangular frames. The arches are supported on faceted small pillars and decorated with a beautiful terracotta floral design and a hanging motif. The construction of this mosque started in 1479 AD. Three years later the construction completed. An inscription, fixed above the central doorway in the east records 1483 AD/888AH as the date of construction of the mosque. Malik Kafur built it during the reign of Sultan Fath Shah. But it was familiar by the name of Baba Adam’s. He was an Islamic preacher in the time of King Ballal Sen. Baba Adam’s killed in a holy war by the king. There is a tomb known as Baba Adam’s Mazar besides the mosque. His dead-body was burial beside the mosque. It is difficult to ascertain the historicity of this tomb due to lack of authentic sources. There is a newly built small tomb structure situated on the south-east side of the courtyard of the mosque. Baba Adam’s is now a protected monument under the Department of Archaeology, Bangladesh. This is a nice historical place.

Great Mosque - Bitul Mukarram (National Mosque of Bangladesh)
Bitul Mukarram Mosque is one of the Magnificent Mosque in Bangladesh. It is situated at capital city Dhaka, west of motijhil on topkhana rood. It is the national mosque in Bangladesh. Construction of baitul Mukarram started on 27 January 1960 and completed in 1968. The area of the main prayer hall is 26,517 square feet. The hall is enclosed by verandas of three of its side. Now the mosque has a capacity of 40,000. Bitul Mukarram mosque is the 10th biggest mosque in the world. This is designed in the style of the holy Ka’abah at Mecca. The great architect, T Abdul Hussain Thariani designed the mosque complex. Shops, offices, libraries, and parking areas included within the complex.
This beautiful modern mosque is National mosque of Bangladesh .whenever you want to visit Dhaka city, do not forget to set a visit at National mosque.
Ground zero Mosque (Star mosque)
Dhaka is the city of mosque in Bangladesh.There is many beautiful and historical mosques in Bangladesh. Star mosque is one of them. The mosque is familiar by name of Tara mosque. Star mosque is situated at armanitola area of old Dhaka. This mosque is well designed and decorated. There are many small and big blue stars in its wall. Honorable Mirza Gulam pir built this wonderful mosque in 19th century.
After time Ali Jan bepari, a local business man and social worker financed the renovation of the mosque and added a varandha in eastern side of star mosque. This addition made the mosque almost double in width. But this extension did not change its real design.
At the time of its construction it was three domed mosque. In 1987 three domed mosque was transformed in to five dome mosque. The ministry of religious affairs initiated to make additions to the prayer hall, which was extended to include two more domes. After extension it has five arched entrances. The star mosque is beautifully preserved. And even though additional and renovations of the mosque have been done. Most of original structure still stands. The star mosque is a great attraction in Dhaka city and the Islamic holy place.

Sixty Dome Mosque in Bagerhat
Shait Gombuj Mosque is situated in District Bagerhat. It is a big Mosque and beautiful building. The Mosque is beautifully decorated. In the middle of the many surviving monuments of the Khan Jahan Ali style, without a doubt the most wonderful and largest brick mosque in Bangladesh is the Shait Gombuj. For extraordinary architectural importance. According to The World Heritage Committee of UNESCO distinguished Bagerhat in the World Heritage list. The original torchbearer of Islam in the south, Khan Jahan Ali came from Delhi to stay a Muslim camp in this swampland in the early-15th century AD. The natural attractiveness of the region had such an effect upon him that he used up the rest of his life there. History says that Khan Jahan Ali made about 360 mosques and as many freshwater tanks in a very short space of time. There is a big dighi near the Satgambuj Mosque. This dighi is called the Ghora Dighi. The Mosque has great attraction for the tourists and visitors
